INTRANET – University of Vila Velha
An Intranet web site is a private page accessible only to an organization’s staff. Often, a wide range of information and services are available on an organization’s internal intranet that are unavailable to the public, unlike the Internet. A company-wide intranet can constitute an important focal point of internal communication and collaboration, and provide a single starting point to access internal and external resources. Many modern intranets have started to include search engines, user profiles, blogs, mobile apps with notifications, and events planning within their infrastructure. Source: Wikipedia
The Client
The University of Vila Velha is one of the biggest Universities of Espírito Santo, a State of Brazil. The University has around 500 professors and 1000 employees.
The Context
The Wikipedia definition couldn’t be more precise. In a context of many employees and professors, the University needed an internal website to strengthen the communication between the employees and the Administrators of the University.
My Role
As Product Designer my role was to plan a package of solutions for problems like trainings invites being send by emails, upcoming birthdays being updated manually, news lacking hierarchy, bad services organization and more. After planning the solution I created a hi-fi prototype and user interface using Figma. After get client’s approval I started to develop the frontend using WordPress.
